Our new puppy
We showed our new puppy last weekend at Mid Herts Gundog Show and again at Midland Counties on Friday. At both shows she got 2nd and loved every moment. At Mid Herts Ortley won the Graduate class and also RBOB. At Mid.Cos Tory won the Post Graduate class with Flutter 3rd in the same class.
September was another busy month. I went down to stay with Shelley, Mark and Emelie for a week, just a few days before Emelie started walking!! We caught up with many of our friends in Sussex and also took Emelie swimming and other activities. I had about 6 days at home and then Tony and I went to Driffield Championship Show with Woody and Tory. Woody was 2nd in Open and Tory 3rd in Post Graduate. It was lovely for Tony to see our friends in the dog world as he rarely gets to a Championship Show. We then took of to the East coast of Yorkshire for a long weekend away. The weather was brilliant, so we all walked miles and enjoyed the sun and sea!!
An update on my news, August was very busy with Shelley and Emelie coming to stay which was lovely. Then Alfie Florin's son left us on the 17th August to join his owners in the Cayman Islands. He arrived in full spirits and sounds as though he is enjoying life in spite of the hurricanes. The next day Caroline and I set of to Austria where I was judging on the Sunday and Caroline wrote for me. We had a fabulous time and the hospitality was terrific. The weather was very hot but it didn't stop us going to the Spanish Riding School and Piber where the Lippizaner's are bred. We also went to the Schonbron Palace, a river trip and then our last 2 days we were in Hungary. The show was lovely with a great atmosphere. Thank you for giving us both such a great time.
Yesterday the 4th September was City of Birmingham Show with Linda Taylor judging. Woody got 4th in Open, Flutter won the Graduate class and Tory was 5th in Post Graduate.
