CRUFTS on the 7th March (which happened to be our 46th wedding anniversary) saw Henrietta and I setting of for the NEC early in the morning. Val Isherwood was judging. Tricia and Gus (Big Orange) in their very first Crufts having only started showing last year WON the Junior Dog class. I was so thrilled for her. Then Henrietta and Leo WON a strong LIMIT class and then went on to win the RES. C.C. which pleased us both. Then it was the time for the girls!! Honey got 2nd in a lovely Junior class and Connie was 3rd in a very strong Limit class.
Later that evening Henrietta and Leo represented the breed in the Vulnerable Breeds class having won BOB at National Gundog and then to my astonishment Connie and I found ourselves on TV beside Clare Balding.

FIRST UPDATE FOR 2019
IT HAS BEEN VERY BUSY FOR HONEY AND MYSELF!! She obtained all her Championship junior warrant points and 4 of her open show points by the end of last year so I thought it would be a shame not to try and get the other 3 points. We went to Boston Show where she got a second , then she picked up another point at the Dukeries where she won the junior class and BOB and was shortlisted in the group. Then on the 19th January Henrietta and I set of for Manchester Championship show with Honey, Connie and Leo. Leo was 3rd in Limit, Honey won Junior and the RES. C.C. and Connie won Limit. Our judge was Chris Bexon. Then Honey and I went to the City of Cambridge show where she went BOB again under Linda Wilson picking up another point and then last weekend Henrietta and I went to Mid Western Gundog under Kay Stephenson and Honey won the junior class with Inca (lucerne) 2nd and she also went BOB and was shortlisted in the group under Frank Kane which now has given her all her points for her JW subject to KC confirmation. Next show CRUFTS.
