English Setter Society of Wales
On April 10th we made our way to the English Setter Society of Wales show where Carole Coode was judging dogs, Val Watkins bitches and the stakes classes by Jackie Corfield. Both Hazel and Helios were in the Special Yearling Stakes , Hazel was second and Helios 5th.
Then came the breed judging and Helios won Junior and Riley (Rainbow Legacy) won Graduate dog. Hazel got 4th in Junior, and Marai got 2nd with Gaela in Graduate, so lovely seeing her again after a rest to grow her coat. Honey won Limit and then went on to win her 2nd C.C. and Reserve Best in Show.
Then on the 17th April I set of to the E.S.A Show to judge bitches where my co judge was Keith Smith. He judged Helios and litter brother Bear, Helios got 2 seconds and a fourth and Bear 2 thirds and a 5th. Ann and Riley again won the Graduate class. It was a lovely show and I thoroughly enjoyed judging some very nice bitches.
