A big update !
Our show season got under way at the beginning of June with some lovely wins.
On the 1st June Katie and I set off for Southern Counties where David Shields was judging. Henrietta won Graduate dog with Helios (Golden Sunrise), Hazel (Dark Amber) won Graduate bitch and Honey won Open bitch and the Reserve CC with Shelby coming 4th in the same class.
Then on the 1st July we went to Windsor where Ron McMaster judged us. Lindsey showed Inca’s puppy Seth (T. Blue Lord) and was 2nd in Min. puppy. Helios won his Graduate class and Hazel won hers with Honey getting 2nd in the Open class and Shelby coming 4th. Hazel then won her second Reserve CC.
Our next shows came on the 5th and 6th August. Paignton was judged by Pam Halstead and Henrietta brought her puppy Piper (T. Stolen Silver) who is out of Inca by Walshaw Brushstrokes and he went Best Puppy. Helios won Post Graduate and his litter brother Bear was 2nd in Limit and 3rd in Open. Hazel won Post Graduate and Honey won Open with Shelby 4th. Honey won her 11th CC. Next day Linda Taylor judged at Nat. Gundog where the litter brothers Piper and Seth were 1st and 2nd in Min. Puppy. Helios won Graduate and Riley was 2nd in Limit. Hazel was 3rd in Graduate B and Honey 2nd in Open. Henrietta and Helios then won his 1st Reserve CC and Piper went Best Puppy and was shortlisted in the Group.
On the 20th August we went to Welsh Kennel Club where Becky Johnson judged. What a day for us, Piper and Seth were 1st and 2nd in Min. Puppy Helios won Post Graduate and Ann and Riley won Limit. Henrietta and Piper won Best Puppy and Helios won his first CC and BOB. Hazel won her Graduate and Honey won Open and then Hazel won her 1st CC and Honey got the Reserve CC.
City of Birmingham was our next show on the 3rd September where Margaret Gittings judged. Piper and Seth were 1st and 2nd in Min. Puppy, Helios was 2nd in Post Grad and Riley was 2nd in Limit. Hazel won Graduate and Honey won Open and her 12th CC and BOB.
On the 15th September we went to Darlington where Patsy Colton judged. Piper and Seth were 1st and 2nd in Min. Puppy, Helios won Post Graduate and Riley was 5th in Limit. Hazel won Post Graduate and Honey won Open and also her 13th CC and BOB.
We just have a few shows left for this year with an update before Christmas!!

The National
On the 7th May I set of for The National with Honey and Hazel. Ann with Riley (T. Rainbow Legacy ) got a super 2nd in Limit Dog and Henrietta”s Helios (T. Golden Sunrise) won the Graduate class. Hazel also won the Graduate bitch and Honey won her 10th CC and went BOB which was lovely having missed quite a few shows this year. Katie showed Shelby and was 2nd in Sp. Beginners and 3rd in the Open class. The judge was Lesley Swigciski who told me after the judging that was her last judging appointment.
2023 started of very busy with a litter of 5 puppies with Inca (T. Lucerne) and Walshaw Brushstrokes. She had a litter of all blues, 4 dogs and 1 bitch and a few photos of them here.

We have only been to 2 shows this year, Manchester and Crufts where Hazel was 2nd in Graduate at Manchester and won her last Yearling class at Crufts and Honey another litter sister Jana were 1st and 2nd in Open at Manchester. We won’t be out again till later in the year as Clever Cookie is expecting a small litter late April and I fractured my knee cap at Crufts!!!
