May came and went
May came and went, we only did 3 shows at 2 venues. On the 19th May Henrietta and I went up to Scotland and stayed where Tony and I stay when we go on holiday. Between us we took Piper, Helios and Hazel. S.K.C were holding back to back shows (May and Oct.) where Patsy Hollins was judging the May one and her husband Steve was judging the Oct. one. Unfortunately my entries got lost but I have proof of posting so it meant filling in more entry forms and writing another cheque!! Piper won the junior dog class and Helios won the Limit dog class and Hazel won the Limit Bitch class. In the afternoon under Steve both Piper and Helios got scones but Hazel won the Limit class and was awarded her 2nd C.C.
On Monday 27th May I set of for Bath where Chris Atkinson was judging. Ann won the Limit class with Riley and Hazel won the Limit bitch class and was awarded her 3rd C.C. About 4 days later she came into season so will miss the Border Union and the Scottish breed show which is disappointing. |
We have only just started showing this year.
We have only just started showing this year. I only have Hazel to show this year, Henrietta will show Helios, Hazel’s brother and Piper. Ann will show Riley and Lindsey is showing Seth who is Piper’s brother and has been doing brilliantly all year.
We all went on Easter Sunday to the English Setter Society of Wales where Jane Mugford judged. Piper was 2nd in Junior and Seth 3rd, then Piper won the Novice class. Helios won Mid Limit and Riley won Limit. To our joy Helios was awarded his 2nd CC and went on to RBIS. Hazel won Limit and also won the Pat Mellish Memorial Open Stakes under Dilys Watts.
On the 21st April was the ESA show. Dave Lewis judged dogs and Jill Kelly judged the bitches. Seth (T. Blue Lord) won the Junior class and Hazel won Limit and was awarded the Res. C.C.
Another update at the end of this month when we have done the May shows!
