The history of the Tattersetts
I have had dogs virtually all my life, firstly dachshunds and then my parents bought our first English Setter from the Whiteseal Kennels called Dash of Whiteseal to keep our last Daxy (who I did a lot of competitive obedience with) company and also to have a go at showing. She had a wonderful career and taught us so much. Later my parents bought Suntop Magic Style and Ernford Zircon of Attleford and from these 3 bitches or their descendants my Mother bred her 3 UK Show Champions who I handled to their titles. They were Attleford Mr. Cinders; Attleford Brown Betty and Attleford Mulberry. She also bred Int.Sh.Ch. Attleford Silver Button.

In 1973 Tony and I married and we took on our affix Tattersett. When Carol Duffield had to disband her kennels we were very lucky to have the opportunity for Flair to come and live with us. She already had won 1 C.C and later she became Sh.Ch. Ashpenda Golden Pheasant. Although she only had one litter to Hurwyn Day Boy she became the foundation bitch of the Tattersetts and bred 3 Sh. Champions in that litter. In the early 80’s we bought Bournehouse Norfolk Dancer from Gordon Williams who mated to Tattersett Star Turn produced Sh. Ch. Tattersett Was I Right who is the Joint Top Brood bitch with five Show Champion progeny. She also won the Royal Canin/Dog World Top Brood bitch award in 1991 and 1992.
Over the years we have bred or owned 27 UK Sh. Champions; 9 overseas Champions and five others have won at least one ticket.
We won the Our Dogs Top Breeders Award from 1989 – 1996 and again in 2001and some of our puppies have won the Top Puppy Award in the years 1983;1997;1998;2002 and 2004
