A little update
We had a couple of weeks of after Richmond and then Honey and I had a day out at Driffied. This show lost tickets some years ago but as Honey was soon to be out of puppy I thought it would be fun to go. Marai Dobbie was judging and she awarded Honey Best Puppy. There was no puppy group so I was able to get of home reasonably early!
Last weekend Honey and I went to East Anglian Gundog Society Open Show which was her last show in Puppy. Hannah Osborne was judging and Honey won the Junior class as there wasn’t a puppy class and then went on to become Best Puppy and Best of Breed. Elaine Bradley was judging the Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show. Honey was shortlisted in the BIS line up and then went in to WIN BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. WHAT A LOVELY WAY TO FINISH HER PUPPY CAREER!

The rosettes for this show were beautiful and it was lovely to come home with a few. Apart from the dog shows we visited both Washington Old Hall and Wallington, both National Trust properties and both very interesting. The dogs loved their walk in the Wallington grounds.
Then on the 1st July in the heat we were at Windsor, an early start to get the dogs in before the heat. Peter Halstead was the replacement judge as Alan Grindley was poorly. Trish Worthy’s Gus (T. Big Orange) shown by Henrietta was 2nd in both Minor Puppy and Puppy. Henrietta was 4th in Limit with Leo. Honey was the only pup in Minor puppy but she did go on to BEST PUPPY. Pebbles was 2nd in the Open class and again won the Reseve CC.

Results MESS Open Show
Last Sunday we went to MESS Open Show where Vicky McLouglin was judging. I thought it would be nice to give Connie her first outing there after her litter and she won Post Graduate, then WENT RESERVE BEST BITCH AND FINALLY WENT RESERVE BEST IN SHOW. Her sons were first and second in Minor puppy dog and Trisha’s pup was also 2nd in Maiden. Henrietta and Leo won Limit and went RESERVE BEST DOG. I also took Honey, Connie’s daughter and she won Minor Puppy Bitch, THEN BEST PUPPY BITCH AND FINALLY BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. Graham took Connie’s sister and put her just into the Open Stakes class which she WON, so a good day was had by all.
Pebbles with her head over Connie’s puppy (Honey) bathed and ready for her first show!
E.S.A. SHOW What a lovely show this was. Glennis Williams judged the bitch classes, Lois Buckley the dogs and Shigeru Kaizaki the stakes. It was the first show for three of Connie’s (Clever Cookie) progeny to make their debut. Tattersett Dark Honey was first on as the Minor Puppy bitch class started before the dog classes and she was the youngest in a very nice class. She came 2nd and took the whole thing in her stride which pleased me. Then it was the turn her two brothers. Henrietta owns T. Dash of Spice (Breck) and he was third and Trish Worthy showing for the very first time was fourth with T. Big Orange (Gus). Ann had a fourth in the Memorial Open Stakes class which Pebbles won. Then Henrietta won the Mid Limit class with Leo and finally Pebbles won the Open Bitch class. She then went on to win her 6th ticket and Best In Show. A Wonderful Day!!! |
